	Summer Work Program 2008 Summer Jobs Available The Riley Foundation is sponsoring a summer work program as one way to help Lauderdale County nonprofit organizations serve their clients. The program will: Help college students obtain knowledge of nonprofit organizations. Expose students to careers in the nonprofit area. Provide organizations with the resources needed to complete a specific project. About the Program Organizations may apply for a grant to hire a college student to complete a specific project. Students will receive a salary of $3000 for 8 weeks of work. Supplementary funds for materials may be available. Agency staff time will not be considered. Each project should have a clear purpose, objective and timetable. Also, a method in which the project can be accomplished in the 8 week timetable. Examples: assembling market data, measuring client satisfaction, developing new services, making videos, creating newsletters, websites. Does not apply to: regular ongoing activities that are a part of everyday operations of the organization, i.e. data entry, secretarial tasks.
