Information for Nonprofit Organization

About the Program

  • Organizations may apply for a grant to hire a college student to complete a specific project.
  • Students must be enrolled in a college or university and have completed at least one semester (cannot be an entering freshman).  Enrollment in a career institute, trade school or vocational program does not qualify.  If you are uncertain if your enrollment qualifies, please contact our office.
  • Students will receive a gross salary of $4,000 for eight weeks of work.
  • The project should have a clear purpose, objective and timetable showing that the project can be accomplished in eight weeks.
  • Examples: assembling market data, measuring client satisfaction, developing new services, making videos, creating newsletters or websites.
  • Does not apply to: regular ongoing activities that are a part of everyday operations of the organization, such as secretarial tasks.
  • Daycare centers are not eligible to apply.

Deadline for Nonprofit Organizations to Submit a Grant Application: January 31 (by Noon)

* Due by noon the following Monday if the 31st is on a weekend.
